Mesotherapy is a treatment or a procedure that involves injecting serums in the middle layer of the skin (Dermis) using a specific technique.

PRP stands for “Platelet-Rich Plasma” Which is obtained from the patient’s own blood in the Treatment Room. 

Platelets are well-known for their clotting abilities, but they also contain growth factors that can trigger cell reproduction and stimulate tissue regeneration or healing in the treated area.

Results indicate that when this treatment is applied, it is more effective and provides longer lasting effects. It leads to increase in skin collagen and elasticity. It increases the skin brightness and glowing. The effect on the face usually last from 12 to 24 months.

Combination of PRP and Mesotherapy

There are two ways of combing PRP treatment and Mesotherapy:

1. You can start with PRP and then weekly treatment of mesotherapy and end with PRP a week after​
2. You may mix PRP and the appropriate mesotherapy serum as 3:1 part and have them injected the same way as for PRP alone

Pre-Treatment Advice

1. Patient should be advised not to have Botox or fillers at least 2 weeks before mesotherapy.
2. No laser or extreme heat therapy for 3 days before the treatment

Treatment Aftercare

1. The face should not be touched for 4 hours
2. Face should not be washed for 12-24 hours, then wash with mild cleanser twice daily
3. Increase water intake to at least 2 litres daily
4. Sunblock cream 30, 45 or 50
5. Avoid heat as exercise, sauna, steam, and hot shower or bath, and blow dryer for a week
6. Avoid using makeup for two days
7. For Scalp applications, shampoo and condition the scalp daily starting the next day after treatment    

Skin Rejuvenation and the eyes        

1. The under-eye area can appear hollowed out, because of volume loss as we age. The treatment is highly effective for restoring sunken eyes.
2. Dark circles, under eye bags or pigmentation around your eyes can make you look tired and older
3. treatments can overcome these issues, can turn back the clock and revitalise tired looking eyes, giving you added confidence.
4. The effect on the eye is maximised by using mesotherapy with the PRP with one week apart.

PRP and Mesotherapy Hair Restoration 

Treatment for hair restoration, one treatment should be given every 4 weeks for 6 consecutive months. If no improvement after the 3rd application, treatment should be stopped. The effects of the treatment are not permanent but effects can last up to 18 months in an average with a maximum of 2 years as the longest reported effect. However, most may resort to a re-touch of the treatment once a year.​Types of Hair Loss Involutional Alopecia: It may happen due to thinning hair follicle, capillary collapse, insufficient nutrients. The treatment leads to follicle regrowth and new vascularisation. Androgenic Alopecia: Due to reduction in follicle size and defect in conversion of hair follicle cells to progenitor cells. This process is reversed by the treatment. Alopecia Areata: Immune system may attack hair follicles producing cytokines that inhibit hair growth. The treatment creates a medium with high concentration of cytokines which promotes hair growth. Scarring Alopecia: Scar tissue destroys hair follicles and its ability to regenerate.
